About Your Madison Wisconsin Realtor, Javier Neira

My story is similar to that of many in our Madison community. I grew up in Bogota, Colombia and moved to the United States in high school. From an early age, I knew that I wanted to make the most of the opportunity my parents had given me and worked hard to better myself and pursue my education goals. After high school, with hard work and the support of my family, I got accepted into UW-Madison, where I graduated from with degrees in political science and international studies.

I started my professional journey in the field of higher education, where I worked for several years as part of special programs that focused on helping individuals and families in our community learn about their opportunities for higher education and achieve their goals.

During this time I truly got a chance to learn more about the needs of our community, particularly that of the Latinx community and other minority groups. After several years in this role, I started wondering whether there were more ways that I could support the members of our Madison community and empower them to make the most of out of what’s available to them.

Economic development has always been a passion of mine, and this seemed like the next logical step and direction for my professional life. I decided to move into real estate as a way to help other invest in their future. I believe in the power of investing long term and real estate has been the most consistent and reliable way to do that. I combine my passions in education, community building, and economic growth to be a true agent for change in our community.

My career in real estate has already proved to be extremely rewarding. I enjoy the opportunity to help people make one of the biggest decisions of their life. I understand that the buying and selling process can be intimidating, and more so when there may be a language barrier. My goal is to make every single one of my clients comfortable and provide them with all the information they need to understand the process clearly so that they are confident about the decisions they make.

When I’m not working with clients or researching the latest market news, you can find me enjoying a good TV show or cooking up some Colombian and Peruvian food at home with my wife and son.
